Downtown Sioux Falls is seeing its annual post-holiday slump in sales.
With more people choosing to stay indoors and not spend money, local restaurants and shops do see a decline this time of year.
That’s why Downtown Sioux Falls Inc is getting creative with events like a Burger Battle, and First Friday.
The weather is also lending a hand.
“Irregularly nice days, it really helps. So so far this year we’ve had some really nice days. This last weekend was really great. We had a lot of people turn out. We were busy as a typical summertime weekend, so that was great,” Bread and Circus Sandwich Kitchen co-owner Barry Putzke said.
