Pres. Trump Declares Kristi Noem South Dakota Governor Before Election

KELO Trump

During a news conference Wednesday on tariffs, President Donald Trump said he had met with Representative Kristi Noem, “the South Dakota governor now.”

He goes on to say Noem had a great win.  But the South Dakota general election is not until November 6. Noem will take on Democrat Billie Sutton.

We reached out to Kristi Noem asking for a comment on the president’s statement. She said: “You know I think he was probably thinking of the primary win. He and I talk often, and I think he was probably talking about the Republican nomination and was congratulating me on that, rather than focusing on the general election.”

The remark is at the 1:30 mark in the video.
