Students and librarian give back to nearby school at book fair

Positively KELOLAND

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — A book fair at Robert Frost Elementary in Sioux Falls involved more than just this elementary school.

Kids at Robert Frost raised money for books for Hawthorne Elementary and the Robert Frost librarian helped out the Hawthorne librarian.

“Tonight it was impossible for her to be here tonight due to some rescheduling of our book fair, and so tonight I am going around, and I’m doing a little bit of shopping for her that I will end up sending over to her school, so that she will come back to boxes and boxes of brand new books,” said Robert Frost Elementary Librarian Korey Erickson.

Nearly $1,000 were raised. It’s a two-for-one book fair, so that means around $2,000 of books are headed to Hawthorne.
