Parts of KELOLAND still without power

Days after last week’s major spring storm, power is on back on for many in southeast KELOLAND but crews still have a lot of work ahead of them.

The South Dakota Rural Electric Association map is still reporting some areas with outages.

Counties in green have up to 99 customers without power, and counties in yellow have at least 100, but fewer than 500.

Three counties in eastern KELOLAND — Lake, Moody and Minnehaha — have more than 100 without power but less than 500.

KELOLAND News caught up with Sioux Valley Energy workers reparing downed power lines on Sunday.
