Park Officials: Rankin Wildfire Is 90 Percent Contained

A fire at Wind Cave National Park is almost entirely contained by fire crews.

The Rankin Wildfire is 90 contained, according to park officials. The fire has burned 2,133 acres of land near State Highway 87 and Highland Ridge Road.

The fire is believed to have been started by lightning on Monday. No one has been hurt and no building have been threatened by the fire. About 85 personnel have responded to fight the wildfire this week.
