A new infestation of emerald ash borer has been found in Sioux Falls.
The area near 37th Street and Minnesota Avenue is the location of the newest infestation of emerald ash borer.
Several ash trees in the area have been cut down to stop the spread of the beetle.
John Ball is a forestry professor at South Dakota State University and is an expert on the emerald ash borer.
He says this recent infestation is separate from the larger infestation that is happening in the northern part of the city.
Ball says the city of Sioux Falls has done a good job at slowing the spread of the beetle.
