Native American students are getting a crash course in coding this week in Sioux Falls.
The three-day program is sponsored by AT&T and run by the Code Bootcamp School. Bobby Johnson is teaching 10 kids how to build video games. He’s also sharing a little bit about Native American culture.
“Finding a balance in life and exposing them to everything this world has to offer. Also sharing and learning things that come from their culture that they might not have been exposed to,” Johnson said.
The camp is designed to teach kids critical thinking skills. Johnson will be traveling to reservations around the state for more camps over the summer.
