More Than 700 Participate In Sioux Falls ALS Walk

People of all ages came together Saturday morning to walk for ALS. The 2 mile walk had over 700 walkers participate.

The ALS chapter of Minnesota, North and South Dakota had a fundraising goal of $81,000 for the year and by the end of the walk and other fundraising events, they were able to raise $71,000.

This is the 8th year of the walk and a common theme for participants was to wear t-shirts supporting loved ones who have the disease. Laura Jean is one of many living with ALS and she says the money raised and the community coming together created a great experience for her and her husband.

The ALS Chapter provides support groups as well as other resources free of charge to those who are affected by the disease.
