We have an update on the man and woman accused of hauling 157-pounds of weed through South Dakota.
A federal grand jury has decided there is enough evidence to charge Brendan Lee and Sarah Worthman with conspiring and intending to sell drugs. Federal court papers say Lee and Worthman were on their way from California to Chicago on February 21st.
An officer noticed their U-Haul going 5 miles over the speed limit in Dewey County and decided to check it out. Court papers says he called in a K-9 and discovered weed hidden inside sofas.
Lee is a convicted felon, with a history of drug charges. Worthman does not appear to have a criminal record.
If found guilty, they could both spend decades behind bars.
