Minnehaha Country Club Prepping For September PGA Tour Champions Event

The PGA Tour Champions will take over Sioux Falls in fewer than 100 days as part of the Sanford International.

The first of its kind golf tournament for the community takes place in mid-September at the Minnehaha Country Club. The club is busy expanding the clubhouse and lengthening the course in preparation for the event. Tournament Director Greg Conrad says his team is anxious to start setting up.

“We’ll start that probably late July. We’ll start building what we call a small city. We’ll build grandstands based on our ticket sales. We’ll build hospitality all throughout the golf course,” Conrad said.

Volunteers are still needed. In Tuesday’s EYE on KELOLAND, Matt Holsen will show you how ticket sales are going and what’s being done to the course to impress some of the world’s top golfers.
