More than two months after searching for a new general manager, SMG announced Mike Krewson as the new man in charge at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
SMG, a nationwide management service for public assembly facilities, announced Krewson as the new general manager for the PREMIER Center in a news release on Friday.
Krewson, a California native, most recently had the same position at the 45,000-seat McLane Stadium at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
“Mike has the experience and drive to keep building on the success we’ve enjoyed at our event venues,” Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken said in a statement. “We look forward to a continued strong partnership with SMG and to Mike’s leadership in moving our facilities and campus forward.”
Krewson takes over for Terry Torkildson, who was confirmed out as general manager in November. In July, assistant general manager Chris Semrau left for another job in Oklahoma and Les Crooks took over as Interim General Manager.
