Woman facing first degree murder charge after vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in Rapid City

A woman is facing a first degree murder charge after a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in Rapid City Sunday.

Around 12:45 p.m. Rapid City Police were called to the parking lot of 1200 N Lacrosse St.  Officers found the victim unresponsive and a vehicle that had struck a tree. 

After investigating, authorities determined 48-year-old Rochelle Seminole was the driver of the vehicle that had struck the tree.  Authorities say Seminole intentionally hit the victim with her vehicle. 

The victim was transported to a hospital where they later passed away.

Seminole was intoxicated at the time of the crash and is also being charged with a DUI.
