Police arrested Samantha Eberle over the weekend for allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old boy, but that’s not all.
Eberle is a convicted felon who served prison time on drug charges.
She is now charged with sexual contact with a child under the age of 16 and sexual exploitation of a minor. Eberle is also facing numerous drug charges and made her first appearance in court today.
Eberle is no stranger to wearing inmate attire. Eberle served prison time on drug charges out of both Spink and Minnehaha Counties. She got out of prison in 2017.
Over the weekend, Eberle was allegedly parking where she shouldn’t be, near the monument on North Drive just down the road from the state penitentiary.
“Officers saw a car parked there and they saw there were two people in the backseat of the car, so stopped to see what was going on,” Sioux Falls police information officer Sam Clemens said.
What was going on was a bit of shock.
“Officers saw there were quite a few sex toys that were inside there and ended up finding marijuana, pipe, and she did have some meth with her as well,” Clemens said.
Police say officers keep a close eye on this spot for good reason.
“There are cars parked there from time to time for whatever reason that’s a place that people go to do drugs,” Clemens said.
Police took the 13-year-old boy back home and took Eberle to jail.
Authorities say Eberle is not related to the child. The judge set bond at $2,500 cash.
