UPDATE: No threat after Sioux Falls Police bomb robot investigate suspicious device

UPDATED 11:48 a.m. 

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Sioux Falls police blocked off an area in the central part of the city Monday morning as they examined a suspicious object.

Officers were called to the intersection of east 7th Street and north Sherman Avenue around 10 a.m. Monday.

Sioux Falls police deployed its bomb robot.

Further investigation found there was no threat.

Sioux Falls Police are in the central part of the city, examining a suspicious object. 

Police have roads in the area of E 7th Street and N Sherman Avenue blocked off as they work to determine if the object is dangerous.

The department’s bomb robot is on the scene, getting a closer look.
