UPDATE: Condition Unknown For Man Pulled From Big Sioux River

UPDATED 6:40 a.m. 

The condition is unknown of a man pulled from the flooded the Big Sioux River late Tuesday afternoon, according to a news release from Sioux Falls Fire Rescue. 

Crews responded to a call about a man floating in the river near the 8th Street bridge. Rescuers were able to make it to the water line and pull the man out near Falls Park. They believe he may have been in the water for about 10 to 20 minutes. 

The man was unresponsive and CPR was started before he was transported to the hospital for more treatment.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue and other authorities responded to a call about a person in the Big Sioux River Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the 8th Street bridge just east of Phillips Avenue in downtown.  

Our Falls Park Skycam was able to capture crews working off the railroad bridge in that area.

The Big Sioux River is at flood stage and Falls Park is closed to visitors.
