Two people are facing charges in connection with an opioid overdose death of a 17-year-old Sioux Falls girl.
Annya Stefanyuk overdosed on October 6. Her mother tells KELOLAND News her daughter’s toxicology report shows Stefanyuk had three drugs in her system, two of which were opioids.
20-year-old Sara Babic is accused of providing Stefanyuk with Oxycodone and is facing felony charges of distribution to a minor, along with abuse.
27-year-old Alan Thong-Vanh is also accused of running a drug house on South Glendale Avenue in Sioux Falls. He is also facing possession and distribution charges.
Both Babic and Thong-Vanh are scheduled to go on trial January 22.
