Two arrested for more than $5,000 worth of damage to car mirrors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Police arrested two people after they allegedly broke several car mirrors early Wednesday morning in Sioux Falls.

Police say 20-year-old Blake Quackenbusch and 19-year-old Alexander Deters were driving with three teenage girls in the backseat. Deters was in the passenger seat and was using a wooden dowel to break the mirrors as they drove. Police say there have been 16 different owners of damage with an estimate of more than $5,000. 

A witness was able to get a license plate number on the car.

The driver and the passenger were arrested for intentional damage to property.
