South Dakota Highway Patrol vehicle hit by car on icy roads

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO) — A South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper was not injured after being hit by a car on icy roads near Rapid City on Thursday.

“Things happen quickly out there and our men and women want to make it home to their families,” Public Safety secretary Craig Price said.

There have been a few crashed with law enforcement vehicles in Rapid City and officials have issued a travel advisory due to the road conditions.
