NEWELL, S.D. (KELO) — We are one week into May, but it doesn’t quite seem like it.
Eastern KELOLAND is dealing with a cold and rainy day but western KELOLAND is seeing something else — snow!
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office posted pictures of snowy roads on Facebook Wednesday morning. The post says that Highway 79 has some dangerous conditions north of Newell.
In fact, they say the road is slick from Newell Lake to the county line.
Light amounts of snow is possible in eastern KELOLAND, including Sioux Falls, Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
Watch video of conditions around 9:45 a.m. MDT from our Terry Peak, Rapid City and Deadwood SkyCams in the attached clip.
