SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Sioux Falls Police Department is investigating a Sunday stabbing as a homicide. 

According to the Minnehaha County Jail log, Isaiah Dubray was booked into jail for first-degree murder Monday morning. The SFPD crime log lists a homicide report at an apartment near the intersection of 9th St. and Duluth Ave. 

Lt. Nick Butler, with the Sioux Falls Police Department, said officers arrived at the apartment complex around 5:20 a.m. Sunday and located the 37-year-old male victim.

Life-saving measures were performed but he later died from multiple stab wounds, Butler said.

In an adjacent apartment, officials located a 46-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds. She is currently being treated for her injuries. Butler said her injuries are serious and non-life-threatening.

The names of the victims have not been released at this time.

According to the South Dakota Department of Corrections, Dubray was released after serving a completed prison sentence on Aug. 29, 2022.
