Sioux Falls National Guard sending two units to Africa

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The South Dakota National Guard announced it will be deploying two Sioux Falls-based units for an eight-month deployment in Africa starting in late August and early September. 

In a news release, the S.D. National Guard said it will send 190 soldiers with the 196th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade and nearly 40 soldiers with 115th Signal Company will go to Djibouti in eastern Africa. 

The 196th MEB will deploy in late August. The 115th SC will deploy in early September.
