Sioux Falls man sentenced for distribution of a controlled substance

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A 24-year-old Sioux Falls man has been convicted of knowingly and intentionally distributing fentanyl which caused serious harm to the victim.

Ignacio Joaquim Veytia was sentenced to 240 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release.

Court documents say the victim suffered an overdose which was reversed by Narcan.
