UPDATED 10:52 a.m.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A 16-year-old boy was killed from what appears to be gunshot wounds, authorities confirmed. 

Lt. Terrance Matia with the Sioux Falls Police Department said Ephraim Duolo Shulue was found on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of North Cleveland Avenue. 

The victim was sent to the hospital and died a half hour later at a Sioux Falls hospital. 

Police are working to identify suspects and the homicide investigation is on-going. 

Matia said more than one gunshot was fired, but police do not have an exact number of shots fired. 

Police are asking for help from the public and hope to share more details as the investigation develops. 

An autopsy is being performed and authorities are looking through surveillance video.

Sioux Falls police are investigating an incident in the eastern part of the city.

Our news crew was able to capture video of the scene on North Cleveland Avenue. We were able to see police had the street blocked off.
