SF Police Investigating Shooting In Downtown

UPDATED: 5:20 a.m. 

Sioux Falls police are investigating a shooting.

Police got a call on shots fired around 9:45 p.m. near 2nd Street and North Dakota Avenue. KELOLAND News has learned that it started with a fight between people in the area and several shots were fired from a hand gun.

Police haven’t released any more information regarding the investigation, including whether anyone was hurt.

More details are expected at Wednesday’s police briefing at 10 a.m. 

11:38 p.m.

There is a heavy police presence in Downtown Sioux Falls at two different locations. The first is in the area of the 800 Block of N. Dakota Ave., another near 14th and Dakota Ave. 

At last update, Sioux Falls police were able to confirm shots were fired at the Dakota Ave location. 

Officers were seen searching the parking lot of Calvary Episcopal Cathedral. 

An amublance was on 14th Street outside of RJ Ries Vallet Cleaners.

KELOLAND News has a crew at both scenes. It’s unclear if these two situations are related.
