PENNINGTON COUNTY, S.D. (KELO) — Seven South Dakota agencies, including the Sioux Falls Police Department, are assisting the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office in a search for a missing nine-year-old Wednesday.

Around 40 people, including outside agencies, are searching for Serenity Dennard, who went missing on February 3 from the Black Hills Children’s Home Society. The command post is just west of Sun County Estates on the northbound pull-off on Highway 16. The search includes rugged terrain in a 2-and-half mile radius from the Children’s Home Society.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Serenity is asked to contact the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office at (605) 394-6115.

Serenity was last seen February 3, 2019, before walking away from the Black Hills Children’s Home Society.
