TURNER COUNTY, S.D. (KELO) — If you think gravel roads are getting any better in KELOLAND, pictures from the Turner County Sheriff’s Office might make you think otherwise.
In a social media post, authorities say this is a good reminder why some roads have weight limits or are closed altogether.
They say the gravel roads are still very soft and can’t handle the weight of a fully-loaded semi.
In this case, the semi driver got some fines on top of a hefty tow bill.
The sheriff’s office reminds you to drive carefully on wet roads.
