Registered sex offender moves into home near Yankton school

Local News

YANKTON, S.D. (KELO) — Just days after getting out of jail, a registered sex offender with a long criminal history has a new home near a Yankton Elementary School.

This week, the school district sent out a message to parents letting them know that 69-year-old Kenneth Stark now lives near Stewart Elementary School, just north of the school.

Stark has been accused of sex crimes in at least five states and in several South Dakota cities.

His most recent arrest was last month in Sioux Falls.  Police arrested him after he reported exposed himself in a Walmart parking lot.

We are taking a closer look at his past and KELOLAND’s Sarah McDonald will talk with people in Yankton later on and KELOLAND News.
