THE BLACK HILLS, S.D. (KELO) — Just days away from planned fireworks and a presidential visit at Mount Rushmore, planning is well underway.
“We’ve been working ahead of time to make sure that we put mitigating factors into place to address any fire issues. We’ll have lots of emergency personnel and fire units stationed at Mount Rushmore as they were in the past,” Secretary Jim Hagen, South Dakota Deparment of Tourism, said.
In tonight’s Eye on KELOLAND, Sydney Thorson explains plans and concerns for the monumental event.
