Police Investigating Stolen Tools From Construction Site

Local News

Police are asking you to keep an eye out for anything strange after someone stole thousands of dollars worth of tools from construction sites over the weekend.

It happened near 88th Street, where new homes are being built. Police say thieves hit two places.

At one place, they got away with around $2,400 worth of tools and about $800 worth was taken at the other.

Police say if you see anything odd especially after hours to call authorities.

“During the day, you kind of see the normal construction traffic. But at night, on the weekends, usually when there’s not any construction guys working, if they see activity, if they see cars parked there, people walking around houses, looking in windows, whatever the case it. We want a call,” Sioux Falls Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said.

Police are using this to remind you that if you see something, say something.
