Police investigating armed robbery in western Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Sioux Falls police provided an update on Thursday morning’s armed robbery in western Sioux Falls.

Sioux Falls Police Department spokesman Sam Clemens said the Get-N-Go on 57th Street and Marion Road was robbed around 3:45 a.m. A man showed a gun, took cash and fled on foot.

Police say the suspect was a black man, around 5-foot-9, wearing a green and white bandanna, a blue sweatshirt and had a black and silver handgun.

Police are looking at surveillance video and may release images of the suspect later on Thursday.


6:02 a.m.

Sioux Falls police are investigating an armed robbery Thursday morning. 

Police say they were called to the area of 57th Street and Marion Road for a robbery. A man entered the business with a weapon and demanded money. 

The suspect fled the scene on foot. 

There were no injuries and the investigation is on-going.
