TEA, S.D. (KELO) — A 54-year-old man died in a Sunday motorcycle crash on I-29 close to the Tea exit around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, the South Dakota Public Safety said.
Names of those involved are not being released pending notification of family members, according to the DPS.
A 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle, pulling a motorcycle trailer, was southbound when the motorcycle’s rear tire blew out causing the driver to lose control. The driver, and a 46-year-old female passenger were thrown from the motorcycle.
Both occupants were transported via ambulance to a Sioux Falls hospital. The man eventually died from his injuries. The female passenger suffered serious non-life threatening injuries. Neither occupant was wearing a helmet.
