New Aberdeen Mayor elected

ABERDEEN, S.D. (KELO) — The Hub City will have a new mayor. 

In Tuesday’s election, Travis Schaunaman beat incumbent Mike Levsen to become Aberdeen’s mayor. Schaunaman recorded 2,557 votes and Levsen had 1,286. 

In the northwest ward for city council, Josh Rife was elected with 708 votes.  According to the Brown County Auditor, voter turnout was 24% with 3,852 ballots cast.
