A farm in rural Alcester has been raided, after reports of animal abuse.
Union County Sheriff, Dan Limoges, says they got a call on Thursday about horse abuse on a farm outside of Alcester.
When they arrived, officials found "horrible conditions".
In the home there were 21 dogs. They also found two rabbits, three cats, a rooster and one raccoon.
There were also six horses, which Limoges says looked like they hadn't been fed or watered in a long time, and stables that may have never been cleaned.
There were also three or four dead horses on the property.
Officials took the animals to a few local animal rescue groups.
Limoges says charges will likely be coming for the couple who lives in the home. Their names have not been released.
