Nebraska State Patrol investigating officer shooting in South Sioux City

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KELO) — The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating a South Sioux City Police Officer involved shooting.

It happened shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday in the north part of town. Police received a call that someone was seen with a gun. When officers arrived and contacted the suspect, shots were fired. Both an officer and the suspect were hurt.

On Facebook, the South Sioux City Police Department says the officer made it through surgery and is in stable condition.

We haven’t heard about the condition of the suspect.
