SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — It’s a big day for everyone at KELOLAND Media Group. Thursday, May 9th marks the 60th anniversary of the dedication of our station.

On Thursday, KELOLAND’s Don Jorgensen has an Eye On KELOLAND looking back at the rich history of the building that was dedicated and first broadcast from on May 9th, 1959.

KELO-TV has been broadcasting from the same building and studio, located on the corner of 13th Street and Phillips Avenue. Before KELO-TV started, the lot was home to King Nash Company, a used cars sale lot.
