Keith Urban is coming back to South Dakota.
The country superstar will be performing to kick off the Sioux Empire Fair this summer. Jered Johnson, with Pepper Entertainment, says they’re excited to bring such a big act to the state.
“It’s kind of been something we’ve worked on for the past couple of years. Trying to figure out how to do a little bigger event there, tie it in with the fair. You couldn’t ask for a bigger act,” Johnson said.
Urban, who last played a concert in South Dakota for Sanford Health and First Premier Bank employees in 2014, will perform on Friday, August 2, which is the first night of the fair. He will then go to Sturgis on Saturday, Aug. 3 and play at the Sturgis Rally.
Although the performance is part of the fair, your fair ticket won’t be able to get you in to see the concert. Separate tickets will be sold just for the performance. You can buy tickets at Pepper Entertainment’s website and the Sioux Empire Fair’s website
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. next Friday, February 8. For more information, visit the Sioux Empire Fair’s website.
