A South Dakota State prison inmate has died following an illness unrelated to COVID-19.
The department of correction says 67-year-old Larry Faller died on Friday in the infirmary of the Jameson Annex to the South Dakota State Penitentiary.
Faller was serving a life sentence for a first-degree murder conviction in Davison County from 1973.
