HARTFORD, S.D. (KELO) — Wednesday’s storm left behind damage at the Coffee Shop Fuel Stop off of I-90 in Hartford, S.D.

Windows on the convenience store were blown out, and semi trailers were tipped over.

A Texas couple on vacation stopped at the gas station when the storm rolled in.

Susie Walling says she was in their pickup when wind smashed rocks against the windows.

“I got down in the floorboard of the passenger side and held on for deal life and said a lot of loud prayers and God protected me,” Traveler Susie Walling said.

One of the windows on their pickup was blown out and others were damaged.

Emergency crews remind you to stay home if possible and allow them to respond to the excessive damage.
