Governor Noem signs HB 1081 into law

Students will soon be able to get hands-on experience brewing beer and wine on South Dakota campuses.

Governor Kristi Noem has signed House Bill 1081 into law. Supporters say the process involves microbiology and analytical chemistry.

But under the current law, brewing classes need to be held off campus. The new law will take effect July 1.
