Flooding In Blunt, Snow Drifts Still High In Northern South Dakota

In central South Dakota, the town of Blunt in Hughes County is fighting to keep Medicine Creek out of city limits. 

Mayor Bryce Chambers says sirens were sounded late Thursday night to warn residents of the threat. The mayor says no evacuations have been order at this time but that could change depending on conditions. 

Sandbags are available for people living in Blunt. Over 3,000 sandbag were filled on Wednesday with more filled Thursday. 

Further North in Potter County, there is still a lot of snow to melt.
