Fans Flock To First Day Of Tournament Play At Sanford International

Local News

Organizers are expecting 60,000 to 80,000 people to come out to the Minnehaha Country Club over the next few days for the tournament.

The recent rains put a damper on play Thursday, even forcing organizers to switch where the public can park for the tournament.

Andy Hohwieler is visiting Sioux Falls from Twin Falls, Idaho and dodged the rain on the way here.

“It was a bit rocky coming in on Thursday night, yep,” Hohwieler said.

The public can now park at the Empire Mall and take a shuttle to the Minnehaha Country Club.

The shuttles will be running all day Friday through Sunday.

Tickets are still available online and at local Hy-Vee and Austad’s locations.
