SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — People filled Falls Park Saturday afternoon for the Cinco De Mayo Fiesta. People could get Mexican food and look at vendors’ booths. Kids could play on bouncy houses or try to knock down piñatas.
April Ross is the director for a Ministry of the Presentation Sisters, Caminando Juntos.
She says it’s important to have have events that showcase the community’s diversity.
“It’s just a way to celebrate the changes and bring everyone together and to appreciate all the different traditions that other cultures offer,” Ross said.
The festival is going on until 7 p.m. tonight and is a fundraiser for Caminando Juntos.
