SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, there’s a way you can see some original artwork while supporting a good cause.
KELOLAND’s Angela Kennecke has spoken publicly about her daughter Emily’s accidental overdose death. At the Washington Pavilion, Emily’s artwork is being used to raise awareness on the opioid epidemic and the lost potential of young people who overdose.
At 6 p.m. Friday night, Emily’s Hope will hold a reception at the exhibit. An auction with the work of regional artists will be up for bid.
But if you can’t make it tonight, don’t worry.
You can see the exhibit in the Everist Gallery until early June.
