Line men are removing damaged poles and replacing them with new ones, but there are other hazards that they haven't been able to fix yet.
"We are finding some wires that have not been reported that are live and on the ground, so I always want to say to people if you see wires don't go near them don't touch them. If they're in the road don't drive over them," Sioux Valley Energy CEO Tim McCarthy said.
If you see any damaged poles or wires on the ground in east-central South Dakota or southwestern Minnesota call Sioux Valley Energy.
