MITCHELL, S.D. (KELO) — Just after midnight Wednesday morning, Mitchell Fire received reports of a fire at the local Perkins.
When Mitchell Fire arrived at the scene smoke was seen coming from the roof.
Several neighboring fire departments responded as well, battling a heavy blaze.
After nearly two hours, fire crews managed to contain the flames.
The building is destroyed.
Investigators are looking for the cause of the fire.
