BROOKINGS COUNTY, S.D. (KELO) — A combine and some corn were damaged in a fire in Brookings County this weekend.
Deputies say the fire happened Friday afternoon near Elkton.
Investigators say the combine was harvesting corn at the time when it started on fire. It then quickly spread to the stalks.
Damage to the combine is estimated at $2,000– damage to the corn was $500.
