NEW YORK - This week our own Angela Kennecke has shared her story of loss following her daughters death this spring. Her efforts to raise awareness about addiction is now gaining national attention.
On Friday morning, Angela was in New York in Studio 57. She had a live interview on CBS This Morning.
Angela lost her 21-year-old daughter, Emily, to fentanyl poisoning in May. She spoke publicly for the first time about the tragedy in a series of stories on Wednesday in the hope of erasing the stigma surrounding addiction.
KELOLAND News will be talking with Angela once she gets back about her experience of sharing her story with the world.
