SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - After sharing her story about the death of her daughter with our KELOLAND News viewers, Angela Kennecke will next bring the message to a national audience.
She's traveling to New York City for an appearance Friday morning on CBS This Morning.
Angela lost her 21-year-old daughter, Emily, to fentanyl poisoning in May. She spoke publicly for the first time about the tragedy in a series of stories on Wednesday in the hope of erasing the stigma surrounding addiction.
Angela and her family have set up a charity in Emily's honor called Emily's Hope to connect people struggling with addiction to the help they need.
