SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Some builders in KELOLAND got a chance to showcase their newest homes Sunday.

The Spring Parade of Homes started this weekend.

It’s a busy day for some builders as people wander the rooms of some of their newest builds.

This house behind me is one of the two Feature Homes in this year’s parade. This house is one of more than 80 people can tour through.

“There’s a lot of work that goes into a house like this. I couldn’t have done it without my team and also my designer,” Choice Builders owner Ryan Brouwer said.

“There’s a lot of gold finishes in here. Between light fixtures, faucet finishes, beautiful Cambria countertops, a lot of good things to see,” Brouwer said.

This home is priced at just over a million dollars and has already been bought.

Despite this, Brouwer says people can get ideas from this home.

“It’s always good to check out the houses, especially this one. There’s a lot of new ideas that you probably don’t see everywhere else and you can put them and implement them into your house,” Brouwer said.

However, not all homes were in the seven-digit price range.

This house on the southeast side of Sioux Falls is just under the $200,000 price point.

“On this particular home, I have three bedrooms that are up on the top level, half-bathroom on the main level, kitchen, dining, living room on the main level,” Rhonda Rentz, with Signature Companies, said.

Both Rentz and Brouwer agree that this event helps builders.

“It’s certainly an important event to get people out, to get people looking,” Rentz said.

“Showcasing the work, advertising is also very important. I’m proud of what I do. I enjoy what I do and I like to show people that,” Brouwer said.

If you didn’t get a chance to check out any homes, the Parade of Homes will also be taking place next weekend.
