Authorities Take Person Into Custody, Lockdown Lifted At Sanford Hospital In Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, S.D. - Lawn enforcement in Aberdeen gave an update on a lockdown situation at Sanford Medical Center Thursday morning. 

Initially, authorities told us the suspect in custody had a gun. Now, police say there was no gun.

Someone reported the sounds of three gunshots. A police captain says it was likely the suspect banging on something

The person in custody is a 54-year-old from Webster.

Law enforcement have taken a person with a gun into custody at the Sanford Medical Center in Aberdeen Thursday morning, the Brown County's assistant emergency manager confirms to KELOLAND News.

No one was hurt. 

Everyone in Sanford Medical Center was on lockdown, but the lockdown has been lifted. 

No information on the person who was taken into custody has been released as of 10:15 a.m.
